This BLOG supports my squad level tactical combat system known as F&M - and more recently my solo game for B-17 and B-24 raids.

BACK FROM KIEL - JUST
There were large numbers of BANDITS over the Heligoland Bight and over the target area - then a few more on the run out just before crossing the English coast.
The fuel just lasted until zone . BLACK JACK survived several heavy hits with only 1 KIA and 1 WIA.

MISS XXX TAKES OVER
MISS XXX ready for Romilly-Sur-Seine
First mission to ST OMER [probably WATTEN to bomb V1 sites] went well except they missed.
Mission 2 to VEGESACK promised to be tough.
Some opposition in ZONE 5 then even more in the target ZONE.
P-47s were on hand to help out in both cases.

The ESCORT battle rages over VEGESACK.
An Fw190 and a Bf109[gunboat version] were shot down or driven off.

Defensive fire from MISS XXX's gunners
And its effect - no damage was caused to the B-17 by this attack.
Very good bombing results on the target - all in all a very good mission especially after the recent debacles.

FIDDLE DIDDLE PICKS UP THE TORCH
Following the loss of NIFTY FIFTIES on it's first mission, another crew and a/c steps forward to take their place. I quite like this way of running a campaign. It focuses on the relentless industrial process of the air war with the men and machines as expendable munitions. It also shows how ultimately futile the LW efforts were - however many a/c were shot down and crews killed/captured more would come.
NIFTY FIFTIES LOST ON FIRST MISSION
This mission was to WARNEMUNDE - I forgot to change this on these maps. I can't figure out a way to automate this.
