FOOLS' LUCK RAN OUT ON 1ST MISSION
FOOLS' LUCK made it to the target and hit it pretty well - but when she turned for home the Luftwaffe appeared in force and one determined and no doubt 'Experten' Fw190 pilot shot the starboard wing off. 8 chutes all POWs barring the STD WG who is being smuggled out - due back 24th August.

DENVER DODGER DONE
DENVER DODGER was in no condition to land with no pilots a wheel destroyed and rudder and tail wheel damaged. Everyone bailed and DENVER DODGER was sent off to crash in the Wash.
OMGA 6 bandits! These did some damage but even more waves followed.
This rocket attack killed both pilots and started an oxygen fire - another turn back. [EDIT - I made a mistake as I don't allow rocket use until zone 4 (this was zone 3). I can't really go back and undo it all now and anyway it could have happened in zone 4 over the target.]
Above 4 screenshots show the rocket attack that caused DENVER DODGER to turn back on the way to BOCHUM.

GETTING READY FOR 1944-5...
I've been amusing myself making pieces for the Me262, Me163 and Spitfire XIV.
This Spitfire XIV was unlucky and fell victim to the Me262s 4 x 30mm guns at very close range. It was lucky to escape 'only damaged'.
I'm doubtful my game will be any fun in 1944-5 since the Luftwaffe is but a shadow of its 1943 self by then and 90% of missions would meet zero opposition except for Flak. But I wanted to see how the jets and rocket a/c fitted in and if I do run on to mid 1944 I will need the Spitfire XIV.
In this enlarged and cropped screenshot you can see I cheated and made a mirror image of the Spitfire banking - the backwards letters give it away. At normal levels of zoom during play it is not an issue.

LAZY DAISY - NEW MAY 1943 START
I've started another tour in May 1943 with LAZY DAISY. Already a tough start with a mission to KIEL! BANDITS all over the show and moderate flak over the target.
With damage to the tail wheel and starboard main wheel destroyed landing was dicey and the pilot had everyone bail out over the airfield and brought the A/C in for a belly landing. It survived with only superficial damage but he was killed.
3 days later they and their new crew mates are headed back to KIEL again - this time as HIGH LEADER in the HIGH GROUP.

MISS DEE - MISSION 5 IS TO BE VEGESACK
I didn't add a 'bomb' for the EMDEN mission which was a weather recall. I would count it as a mission for the crew - not their fault - but as they didn't drop the bombs - no bomb marker. If anyone reading knows whether weather recalls counted or not against a crewman's 25 missions I'd appreciate a comment to let me know.
