CASTLE HILL 0720 19th March 1944

I think is the high water mark of the German attack. The British/Indians have more men in the castle than the Germans have anywhere nearby. German firesupport is struggling to keep Pt 175 suppressed and cannot get much fire on the castle area. Therefore I think I will call this a British/Indian victory (in no small part due to heroic Rajputana troops at Pt 165 and 175 who in many ways saved 1/4th Essex.) The Germans have losses amounting to about 50%.
